Benjamin Finch

Owner & Managing Member

As an owner and executive of The Killswitch Collective, a design and development studio in Chicago for over 8 years, Ben had hands-on experience in day-to-day business management, operations and finance, and in attracting, training and managing a staff of up to 20 creative, development professionals and support personnel. He has a BFA in Visual Communication from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has always had a passion for drinking craft beer! He has now set his sights on building one of the coolest craft breweries in the nation, and prides himself on releasing quality beers and building a community around them.

Richard Grant

Owner & Head Brewer

Richard's fascination with craft beer stems back to his first taste of quality brewed beer. Richard is an experienced brewer and has been instrumental in the development of our beer recipes. He has experience as a professional brewmaster and in managing a beer business, and he’s been responsible for the full operation of a brewery. Richard has trained at the Siebel Institute of Technology and has a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Paul Finch

Owner

Paul is the founding principal and has been the managing partner for over 23 years of PF&A DESIGN, a healthcare architectural studio located in Norfolk, VA. Paul is a board certified healthcare architect with the American College of Healthcare Architects and has practiced architecture for over 35 years. When Ben presented the opportunity to join with him to help “Finch’s Beer Company” become a reality, Paul realizing Ben’s passion for the craft brewing industry saw it as an opportunity to do something fun and different. This endeavor has opened his horizons to great craft beers and the great community of craft brewers.

When will you be open?

Our production facility is open for business. Beer is flowing to the market, check out the Find Us page for where Finch's is available.

Will you have a tasting room?

We do not have a tasting room. We do have plans eventually to have one, but our core focus is on brewing and selling as a production facility only in the beginning. We will update the community as we get closer to making the final decision on the tasting room. Tastings will be available on brewery tours!

Are you guys hiring?

We are not hiring right now, but we are accepting resumes. As we get closer to production, we will be hiring. Please submit your resume to hello@finchbeer.com or email us for more info.

Will you give tours?

Of course! We will be starting tours in the summer of this year. Please check our Facebook Page in early summer for a tour schedule.

How does brewing beer really work?

Brewing beer is an art form in many ways. Finch's Beer is specializing in ales so our brewing process is faster than our lager counterparts. There is a multi-week process that takes place from milling our own grain at the brewery, to brewing, fermenting and carbonating the beer. Once we announce our tour schedule you can come and see for yourself!
